Numerous systems currently on the market from leading OEMs that feature the new Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor have achieved top benchmark scores in areas critical to online businesses. · The Oracle Small Configuration (Single Database) and Oracle Medium Configuration (Single Database) benchmarks measure support for a large number of concurrent transactions on multiple online applications. Systems based on the Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor deliver 14 percent more performance than the competition for two-socket servers and 11 percent better performance than the competition for four-socket servers.

· SPECjbbR2005 is a widely recognized measurement of server-side Java application performance. Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor-based servers have demonstrated superior performance from 14 percent compared to competitive 2-socket systems to 36 percent on 4-socket systems, to the best 8-processor result with a score of 1037851 bops.

· SPECwebR2005 measures the performance of web servers and AMD Opteron processor-based servers hold the top performance record for 2-socket systems, with a 27 percent advantage over a similarly configured competitive solution.

· The 8P HP ProLiant system delivered a US$3.24 price/performance score, a 40 percent improvement compared to competing x86 systems based on the 300 GB TPC-H Value benchmark.

· The SPECpower_ssj2008 benchmark measures the energy efficiency, power and performance characteristics of server-side Java workloads. The new Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor is behind the world record holding score for 4P servers with a 40 percent greater advantage over the competitive solution.
