Senior IT Appointment at WealthCraft
Charles Shao joins as Vice President of Host Service & IT Support

WealthCraft Systems Inc, a leading IT solution provider for financial institutions, has appointed Charles Shao as Vice President of Host Service & IT Support. He brings with him a wealth of intensive IT and telecom support experience from working at senior management level in Mainland China.

Mr Shao joins WealthCraft from state-owned multinational company Chery Automobile in Wuhu, where he was IT operations director, reporting to the VP of Chery Group.

Supervising a team of 60, he was responsible for the entire IT operation of Chery Group, which manufactures in several countries with a workforce of more than 30,000, heading the global data centre, network telecommunication, IT security, help desk support and internal sales. He constructed a scalable, stable and safe IT infrastructure, creating its IT standards and policies, supervising technical functioning, consultants, contractors

and vendors, and generally re-engineering the group's business process.


Prior to joining Chery in 2006, he was technical manager at WiseTone in Shenzhen, developing a new service model for the company to become an integrated telecom service provider to China Telecom, setting up the service architecture and customer care center.

His role included business development support, strategy planning and marketing.

From 2001 to 2005 he was tech support project manager at PCCW in Hong Kong, providing integrated communication solutions including DDN, IPLC, ATM, FRAME ¡VRELAY, MPLS VPN and VOIP for Asia Pacific multinationals and state-owned Chinese companies, as well as services ranging from installation and trouble shooting to advanced networking and security.

His first position in Mainland China was as a telecommunication engineer at Shenzhen Telecom Engineering Company, which he joined in 1998, implementing PSTN and GSM engineering for China Telecom and China Mobile.
