Cisco
announced the Linksys by Cisco Media Hub and Linksys by Cisco Wireless
Home Audio system at the 2009 International Consumer Electronics
Show in Las Vegas on January 7, 2009. Designed to simplify access
to and interaction with digital content, the Media Hub gathers,
organizes and presents all the digital video, photos and music that
users have spread amongst various devices in the home. The world
leaders in networking also deliver the Wireless Home Audio system,
which utilizes Wireless-N technology to deliver a rich audio experience
to any room in the home.
Simplified
Digital Media Access
With
a Media Hub consumers can enjoy all of their media through an easy
to use interface that is not only accessible in the home, but throughout
the world via a web browser. The Media Hub is the perfect solution
for consumers with extensive digital media libraries who are looking
to eliminate the complexity of managing their collections.
“We
have built the Media Hub to be simple to set up and use for the
mainstream consumer, but is also powerful in functionality and capabilities
for the more tech-savvy user. All the features that are needed to
eliminate the complexity of managing digital media collections with
multiple computers and devices in the home are included. The Media
Hub is the central location you go to for access to your media,
without concern for whether the file is stored on your Mac, your
child’s PC, or on your DLNA devices,” said Greg Memo, vice president

Enhanced
and Extended Listening Experience for Consumers
Users
can create a party atmosphere with immaculate synchronization when
listening to the same song throughout the entire home, or send different
music to customized “zones”. The Wireless Home Audio solution also
puts millions of songs at your fingertips through integrated Internet
services such as RadioTime. An optional Docking Station for iPod
enables your content on Apple iPod?, including podcasts, audio books,
and purchased iTunes content, to be played through any Wireless
Home Audio device on the network. Wireless Home Audio products also
work great with the newly announced Linksys by Cisco Media Hub that
gathers and presents the available media on a network.

Home Audio)系統。「媒體整合器」使存取及使用數碼內容變得更為簡易。它把原本存放於家中不同設備裏的所有數碼錄像、相片及音樂集合起來，加以整理，讓用戶一目了然。此外，領先全球的網絡專家思科更為消費者帶來全新的「無線家庭音響」，採用優良的無線-N技術，用戶無論身處家中任何角落，都可體驗非凡的聽覺享受。
存取數碼媒體內容 更快更方便
「媒體整合器」不但具備簡單易用的介面，方便用戶點選心水的媒體內容，而且用戶即使遠在海外，亦可透過互聯網瀏覽器操控介面，隨時隨地享受個人的視聽珍藏。用戶若擁有龐大的數碼媒體庫，並希望避免繁瑣的檔案管理，「媒體整合器」無疑是最佳選擇。
思科消費者業務部產品副總裁兼總經理Greg Memo稱：「『媒體整合器』的設計意念是讓大眾消費者享受到簡易安裝及容易使用的好處，而同時又能滿足科技愛好者對於功能及容量的要求。從前要用多部電腦及其他設備去管理家中多元化的數碼媒體內容，現在只要一部『媒體整合器』，就可免除繁瑣的檔案管理。『媒體整合器』功能齊全，它是一個中心點，用戶可透過它操作媒體內容，毋須理會該媒體內容原本儲存於Mac機、個人電腦或DLNA設備內。」
聽覺享受無處不在，並昇華至更高層次
「無線家庭音響」可在家中的廳、房等不同活動空間同步播放同一首歌曲，用戶無論移動至家中任何位置，歌曲均會如影隨形，聽覺享受絲毫不減。當然，用戶也可在不同位置選播不同的音樂。「無線家庭音響」又可讓用戶透過綜合式互聯網服務（如RadioTime）擴大音樂庫，數以百萬計的歌曲隨傳隨播。此外，用戶只要添置iPod基座，便可利用網絡內的任何「無線家庭音響」設備播放podcasts、自費購買的iTunes音樂等蘋果
iPod音樂內容。「無線家庭音響」配合同樣是剛剛面世的Linksys by Cisco「媒體整合器」一起使用，效果出色。後者集合網絡內所有媒體內容，然後整理出綜合目錄，一目了然。
